Tournament Master ("we", "us", "the Platform") is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the Zambia Data Protection Act, 2021 (Act No. 3 of 2021) and other applicable data protection laws.
Tournament Master is the data controller for personal data processed through tournamentmaster.space, organizer.tournamentmaster.space, and our mobile applications.
We process your personal data on the following bases:
Some of the services we use to operate the Platform are located outside Zambia. When we share your personal data with these providers, it may be transferred internationally. We only do this where the recipient country offers an adequate level of protection, where you have consented, or under another lawful transfer mechanism (e.g. contractual safeguards), as required by Sections 48–50 of the Act.
Current sub-processors include:
| Provider | Purpose | Location | |---|---|---| | Clerk | Authentication & identity | United States | | Supabase | Database & file storage | EU / United States (region-dependent) | | Stripe / Lenco | Payment processing | United States / Pan-African (Lenco is Zambia-focused) | | Resend | Transactional email | United States | | PostHog | Product analytics (consent-based) | United States / EU | | Sentry | Error monitoring (consent-based session replay) | United States / EU | | Pinecone | Search & recommendations | United States | | Upstash | Caching & rate limiting | United States / EU | | Cloudflare | DNS, CDN, security | Global | | Crisp | Live chat support | European Union |
We require all sub-processors to implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures.
Some tournaments allow players under 18 to register. Where a participant's date of birth indicates they are under 18, we require the consent of a parent or legal guardian before processing that participant's data, in line with the special protections for children's data under the Act. Guardian contact details are collected for this purpose and used solely to obtain and record that consent.
We use cookies that are strictly necessary for the Platform to function (e.g. authentication sessions). Analytics and session-replay tools (PostHog, Sentry) are only activated after you give consent via the cookie banner. You can withdraw this consent at any time by clearing your cookies or changing your choice when prompted again.
Under the Zambia Data Protection Act, you have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 11.
You may permanently delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. Deleting your account removes your profile and personal data; some records (e.g. financial transactions) are retained in anonymised form as required by law.
For privacy questions, data subject requests, or to contact our Data Protection Officer:
Email: privacy@tournamentmaster.space
You may also contact the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner of Zambia regarding any concerns about how your data is processed.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted on this page, and continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
